 We will be presenting a  Ganesha Bandana.( Mangalacharan).

This marks the entrance of the dancer on the stage in the ODISSI style. The dancer invokes the blessings of Lord Jagannath for an auspicious beginning who is the presiding deity. then the dancer offers salutation to the Mother Earth, the Guru, the accompanists and the audience.  It is  followed by a , the prayer to Lord Ganesha.

Set to Tala :-Ektal and Raga :- Bhimpalashri

Performers are Abhipsha Basa ,Anwesa Basa  and Diya Chakrabarty.

My name is Jeromy Ko. I am originally from Cleveland Heights, but I currently reside in Columbus OH. I have been active in the Cleveland hip-hop scene, and am now starting to break into the Columbus music scene. I released a mixtape on Valentine’s Day of 2012. I will be performing some songs from the mixtape, as well as some songs from my other musical projects. I also perform some songs in Cantonese, to represent my culture! I graduated from THE Ohio State University, Buckeye for life!

Icho Daiko

Icho Daiko is a Japanese drumming ensemble based in Cleveland, Ohio. The group was founded in Oberlin in 2003 by Dr. and Mrs. Roy and Aiko Ebihara, and became a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization in 2010. “Icho” is the Japanese word for “ginkgo.” The group was named for the ginkgo trees that line Oberlin’s main street.

The mission of Icho Daiko is to strengthen Asian American communities by instilling pride and culture awareness, and to build bridges between Asian Americans and other groups through the dynamic expression of taiko.
