Cleveland Asian Festival at FanExpo Cleveland 2024!

Join us on April 12-14 at the FanExpo Cleveland at the Huntington Convention Center. We will have variety of activities and performances throughout the weekend at our booth C225!

Janice Liu

Janice Liu was born in the States but grew up in Taichung, Taiwan. She started to learn Erhu at the age of seven. She won the first prize in the National Music Contest in Taiwan and numerous other awards. She held two personal recitals before. After she came to Cleveland, she has actively performed for multiple cultural events (such as 78th Street Studios Third Fridays, Asian Town Lunar New Year Celebration, Asian Festival, and Cleveland Metropark Zoo Asian Lantern Festival). She also teaches several students in the Greater Cleveland area.

Both groups are located in Cleveland with focus on building confidence for students through community services and technical trainings, respectively.

Pacific Paradise Entertainment

Pacific Paradise Entertainment (PPE) is a professional performance group from Cleveland, Ohio specializing in Hula, Tahitian and Polynesian dancing. Our “ohana” (family) of hula dancers and musicians come from all over Northeast Ohio and all walks of life for the joy and passion of Polynesian dance! With more than a dozen entertainers, PPE has over 20 years of Polynesian dancing and entertainment experience collectively. Having trained from masters of this traditional dance form in Hawaii and Tahiti, PPE brings a combination of graceful hula expression and high-energy
hip movements.

Sifu John Cosma

Sifu John Cosma has been training in Chinese Internal Martial Arts for over 25 years, much of that time he has also been in an instructor role. His focus has been on integrating the myriad benefits of Internal kung fu and learning how to better communicate the methods and practices one can use to enhance their own lives. He will be demonstrating representative forms from Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, and Qigong.

ShoJoJi Japanese Dance

The ShoJoJi Japanese Dancers have performed in Ohio since 1967 led by three talented dancers from Japan. The dancers wear colorful kimono tied with brocaded obi. They use fans to depict the moods and stories of each dance. The dancers welcome the audience to learn folk dances.
